About
I'm a founder building Reload (reload.app). I live in Antalya, Turkey, and grew up in Istanbul.
Whenever people ask me what my favorite topics are, I always say Vertical SaaS. It sounds boring to most people, but I find it endlessly interesting. I also write about economic growth, housing, and progress; read voraciously; and like meeting people who care about how cities, technology, and ambition shape the future.
Outside of work I play tennis, run regularly, and am happy to grab coffee, take a walk, or hit the courts.
Things I'm involved with and areas of interest:
- Vertical SaaS. Whenever people ask me what my favorite topics are, this is what I always say. It sounds boring to most people, but I find it endlessly interesting — and it's the lens I use most when thinking about building companies.
- Entrepreneurship. The great founders are some of the most fascinating people who have ever lived; I'm obsessed with studying them. I've started a number of companies and products of my own over the last few years.
- Economic growth. Economic growth and prosperity are my favorite late-night snack. I read everything I can find on why some countries and eras take off and others stagnate — Tyler Cowen and the progress studies crowd are constant companions.
- Housing. Zoning, if you're American. It's the single biggest factor shaping economies and daily life — wages, fertility, mobility, climate, how cities feel. (See also the housing theory of everything.)
- Tennis. I play regularly. If you're in Antalya and want to hit, see the Meet page.
- Running. Easy miles around Antalya — happy to combine with coffee afterward or keep it purely on the road.
- Books and ideas. I keep a reading list, a media list, and occasionally publish writing.
Connections
I like meeting people in Antalya who share interests in tennis, running, founders and product, or just a thoughtful conversation. Introverts welcome; the goal is an easy in-person hello, not a pitch.
